Comment by Michael Cawood - Director on October 1, 2012 at 2:54pm So the Directors Cut is finished, and it'll be online soon. I'm currently in the process of applying to the Annies.
Comment by Michael Cawood - Director on September 26, 2012 at 9:24am We are currently aiming to submit to the Annies thanks to a popular vote on Facebook. But we're trying to make a modified version of the film, a Directors cut, with an extra shot and some longer cuts to make the film easier to understand. The Visuals and Score are done and Michael Newton will be working on the sound effects, and mix soon.

Comment by Michael Cawood - Director on September 4, 2012 at 8:15am I'm deciding whether to enter the Annies or not. It's a big event for animation and so had we been able to enter last year it would definitely have been on the short list (in fact I did enter by mistake not realizing the deadline had passed and they gave me a refund). The trouble is it's the most expensive festival so far at $250. You could argue that perhaps that's good and there won't be much competition, but actually it just means the competition is Disney, Dreamworks and Pixar! The deadline is more than a month away so there's still time to decide. I've actually been considering an improved 'Directors cut' of the film that would help people understand it more but there are certain costs involved in that too. In theory it's all doable in the time available. The trick is just that we have no budget for all these things (the festival run went over budget some time ago, and I'm not employed right now with bills to pay). Any thoughts on this? Do you want the film to go to the Annies or could the money be better spent on other things?
