"ya. Andy's right about that. and to streamline it for the rendering people, we could add attrib channels (would have to double check this) that would automatically change the colors to your red, blue, yellow....thingies Bobby was talking about."

"It's actually no problem to split up a single mesh - you just paint the appropriate areas of a texture map with pure red, blue, etc., and then connect the map to the colour input of a surface shader."
