Setting up all the asset shaders, lights, render settings and layers has taken up a huge amount of time, but most of the problem solving seems to be out of the way and I'm expecting to be starting to render a Death close up shot very soon. If our plan works well on that (as well as our single frame tests) then I'll try to automate the lighting setup as much as possible. This may mean trying to make a big Mel script. If anyone wants to help with that let me know.

With Siggraph looming towards us it's not all that surprising that the activity on the site seems to have slowed down a little. It's perfectly understandable that many people will be preparing material for the event. The time to really have fun, get that subtle stuff going. Working on the hair and some minor things for the shot but feel pretty good about where it's gone. Look forward to getting back into prodwand and seeing what a few weeks away from it will present.
