Happy New Year! - working on the film full time so far....

I hope you all have a great New Years, what ever you're up to... and have a great start to 2011.

 

I've been at the film full time for about three weeks now (if you don't count the usual Christmas distractions), and I have to say I'm loving it. I'm jumping up in the mornings to get to work, see what renders have completed and see what the rest of the team is up to. Of course since it's the holiday period my fiancée is around most of the time which is an added distraction and I've noticed I don't get many of the big creative tasks done, but I'll get to them soon. Rendering and compositing has been my main focus as well as the usual team support and getting a few new people setup.

 

It's been great to get to a point that some of the shots feel almost final. I'll probably update the published teaser trailer soon so that everyone can see things coming together. Plus Jay has done a new pass on the audio and it's sounding great.

All sounds really promising, and I hope you have a great New Year too - looking forward to seeing the finished film in all its glory some time this year :)

I've added a bar chart to the edit opening screen to make our progress clearer, and we're currently sitting at 61% overall completion (although sound and visual effects haven't been taken into account yet as we're not tracking them much yet).
